During the operation of the cooling water-intake system in power station, there may be transient situation due to all kinds of accident reason. And the transient situation will bring damage on the system in the different extent. Badly, the device is broken and the system can't run normally. Worstly, the transient situation will result to severe consequences such as shutdown and casualty. Therefore, the research on transient situation of water-intake system should be taken seriously. In doing so, this paper study test research as well as numerical calculation on hydraulic transient characteristics from water intake to pump chamber transition forebay. The primary contents and conclusions is summarized as follows:1. Summarizing the research progress and methods on transient flow theory, proposing the primary contents of this paper.2. Establishing the mathematic model on transient How on the basis of characteristic line method, presenting the characteristic difference equation on the basis of the characteristic equation and characteristic mesh and putting forward initial and terminal conditions on the basis of project practice.3. Generalizing 12 work conditions on the basis of project practice and calculating these work conditions with mathematic model proposed, presenting proper time step and range step and selecting exact parameter during the calculation, composing calculation program with Fortran language on the basis of initial and terminal conditions in the project, calculating pump chamber forebay water level variation, water intake culvert box velocity variation and topical cross-section pressure variation, analyzing and researching the consequence.4. Putting the power station water-intake system to physical model experiment, collecting a considerable amount of test data and correcting many conclusions to provide theoretical ground forproject practice.5. Comparing numerical calculation results with physics model experiment results, showing that the calculation results are in good agreement with experiments and the method can be used in the analogy calculation of similar projects. |
