In navy ship, the quantity of the information exchanged between systems is becoming greater and greater; the speed of communication is faster as well. In order to make all the systems into an organic whole, the ship network platform must be constructed. In traditional ship information network, the way of communication used widely is point-to-point serial communication. When the amount of network nodes is big, the shortcoming of the way is emerged: complexity of laying lines, occupying more area, unable to share the information and so on.This paper tables a scheme of ship navigation system network based on field bus. In this scheme, the Integrated Navigation System, all the navigation equipment and other systems are connected to the bus as network nodes. Each node can get navigation information from the bus according to its own need. The design improves the automation and reliability of the navigation system. This scheme includes two devices of interlink—CAN bus/RS422 switcher and CAN bus/Ethernet gateway, used to link the CAN bus, serial bus and Ethernet and transmit information between them. This paper emphasizes the development of the CAN/Ethernet gateway. The gate way use MCS-51 singlechip as processor, it can communicate to CAN bus and Ethernet. TCP/IP is also analyzed in this paper, a compact network protocol stack is designed to meet the gateway's need. Benefited from the network protocol stack, the gateway can be used as WEB server.Through the laboratory test, the scheme can realize the communication between many nodes well, the two interlink devices can transmit information between different network exactly.
