The fabrication methods of the selective emitter solar cells are summarized in this paper. The characters of the selective emitter solar cell structure are also described. Then the selective emitter solar cell structure is proved to be an effective way to improve the solar cell conversion efficiency in the course of deeply analyzing on its advantages.And using domestic mono-crystalline silicon wafers, and based on the screen printed C-Si solar cells industrial processes, through adding one process of screen printing high concentration phosphor paste before diffusion and using only one step diffusion, a kind of solar cells are fabricated. After testing, these solar cells are proved to be the selective emitter solar cells.The selective emitter solar cells derived by this method are more potential than the conventional BSF solar cells. After oxidation, their minority carrier lifetimes are about two time of that of the conventional BSF solar cells, their conversion efficiencies are about 0.4-0.6 percentage higher than that of the conventional BSF solar cells fabricated by the same silicon material, and their spectral responses are also better than that of the BSF solar cells in the short-wave area.All these prove this method can be brought into the industrial utilization.
