With the increasing of high way in China and development of the modern industry, the actual speed of vehicle has being promoted. The effect of cross-wind on the vehicle handling and stability becomes very important. The traditional method is to do the experiments, which cost a lot of time and money and have risk. So the research of the high-speed vehicle cross-wind stability with computer simulation is significantly helpful. The numeric simulation of the cross-wind on the vehicle side is very important for the reach and is the fundamental first step for research. Based on the wind speed data in many sites in China, This paper build natural wind database in China and the side aerodynamic force on vehicle when the vehicle passing the pier, one car passing another and the car driving through the side-wind in the experiment etc.Using the software ADAMS/Car, a vehicle dynamic model of multi-rigid bodies was built, The performance of high-speed vehicle which turning during the various natural cross-wind has been simulated and a few analysis have been given. At the same time, a driver-vehicle closed-loop model based on the preview-follower which consider the reaction time of driver method has been created, considering some actual cross-wind conditions, some simulation have been done. The above simulation results were in agreement with the reference. In this paper, a 3 DOF vehicle model is built in the cross-wind, and the model is correct via comparing between the result of simulation and that of the test, through analyzing the cross-wind stability simulation result with different design parameters, It conclude how the design parameters influences the vehicle's cross-wind stability.
