Centrifugal pump is a widely-applied machine. Whether it is working in a good state is very important to the whole factory, especially in factories where the process is continuous. In China's design institutes, engineeres choose proper centrifugal pumps according to API 610. But in practice, it was found that the misalignment of the pump and driving shafts is far less than the value given by the criterion, which is 0.127mm. That means even that the loading on the suction and discharge nozzle flange can be enlarged from several to about ten times, the misalignment of the pumps and driving shafts the pumps selected according to the API610 is still less than 0.127mm. In this paper, there is a FEA on a centrifugal pump to get the usable piping loading value.In this paper, a centrifugal pump's model was built using the Pro/E. After meshing in Pro/E environment, the model was output from it into that of ANSYS. In ANSYS, the model was loaded and displaced. After calculated, some results were obtained.
