Three gorges project is a wonderful hydropower project. According to the impounding plan of the three gorges, the reservoir will impound during winter and decrease during summer after the finish of the three gorges project, and the water level of reservoir will change in 30m. The changes of the water level of reservoir will affect the stability of bank slope from the impoundment in 2002 . Thereby, it is not only an complicated theory problem but also an important application of engineering that to research seepage character of bank slope, water-rock interaction and stability of slope .Based on the environment of the three gorges , the paper analysed the seepage character of the sandstone and marlite which is widely distributed in three gores; research on the mechanical regularities of sandstone in different water-saturation condition through the method of the test ;then the paper analysed the displacement field and stress field change in FEM of Coupled stress and seepage field with the view of water-rock interaction ;Moreover , the paper analysed the character of the deformation and failure of the bank slope , and generalized the regularity of the stability of the bank slope due to the change of the water-level ; at last , the paper analysed the seepage character and the stability of the dayuanba landslide in the different water-level . The paper expected to offer a study model after researching the envolving laws.
