The concrete filled stell tubular (known as CFST) is a composite structural material formed by thin steel tubular filled with concrete. It has excellent characteristics when applied in high-rise buildings. Depending on uniform theory, the linear and nonlinear seismic reponse analysis on CFST materials is studied as follows:(1) Based on FEM theory and aided by ANSYS? software, two structure models are formed according to the two projects, which are CFST and RC column frame-shear walls.(2) Compare the differences of structural free vibration characters based on the model analysis with the two models. And thus support the further seismic resistant analysis.(3) By means of response spectrum analysis (horizontal and vertical included), study the structures in order to obtain the maximum reponse by CFST and RC column frame-shear walls. The seismic resistant behavior of CFST structures in linear stage is appraised.(4) In accordance with the seismic wave input, analyze the geometric and material nonlinear dynamic actions of CFST column frame-shear wall in reponses to uniform excitation. The seismic resistant behavior of CFST structures in nonlinear stage is appraised.(5) By linear and nonlinear calculations on the general structures with FEM theory, the excellent seismic resistant behavior of CFST in high-rise buildings in the aspect of load bearing, deformation behavior, dissipated hysretic energy and etc. is proved.
