This paper puts forward the size of the main structures of vortex sediment funnel and deduces a formula of computing average sediment interceptions by indoor experiments, dimensional analysis principles and Number analysis method.Meanwhile,many prototype datas used in this paper to verify the experimental conclusions,the result of verification show the experimental conclusion can be provided as the actual engineering design reference. Vortex sediment funnel is a kind of advanced desilting works.This paper systematically introduced its development process. According to many model experiments experiences,different movability characteristics of bed load and suspended load in flow field of vortex sediment funnel are analysed in this paper.This paper provided two formulas of the diameter of different funnels for bed load and suspended load on the basis of dimensional analysis and experimental datas.The influences of d50 and sediment density in water on the slope, the culvert width and height has been drawn by model experiments and analysed in the paper,and offered the size range of them under the conditions of given the designed sediment interceptions and water consumptions,Analysing the influences of diameter,installment angle and eccentricity of sediment bottom bore on the sediment interceptions and water consumption and offered the installment angle range by experiments.On the basis of model experimental datas,with dimensional analysis,this paper has obtained the formula of computing sediment interceptions of vortex sediment funnel,and has been verified with prototype observation datas of two actual engineerings,the result of verification show the computed error less than 10%,so it can be used in the actual engineerings. |
