The Research And Development Of Software For PID Controller Parameter Tuning In Thermal Power System

At present, the PID controller is widely used in thermal processes control in power plants. The best tuning parameters of PID has a crucial effect on control performance. However, the artificial methods for tuning PID parameter are so far applied commonly in the processes control engineering practice. Hence, the research on automatic tuning and adaptation technologies for PID control is on the agenda. The PID parameter tuning methods are studied for single loop control systems, cascade control systems and feed forward back forward control systems according to the character of thermal processes control. In addition, the Automatic Tuning methods based on expert system are studied for these time variant processes.
