The great efforts are made worldwide to develop battery systems having high specific energy. The demand for such systems has risen dramatically in recent times, particularly in connection with electric traction, the storage of electrical energy from photovoltaic installations and the operation of portable devices. Among all batteries, because of its steady performance, source of raw material and low-cost, the study and the development of zinc-air battery is paid more and more attention. Because of their high specific energy and inexpensive and environmentally benign materials, Zn-air batteries are promising energy storage devices.In order to improve the electrocatalystic performance of MnO2,Catalysts were prepared from the carbon black impregnated with mental nitrite, and heated at 270 °C .The gas-diffusion electrode was made by cold-pressing. Electrochemical performances of various electrodes were studied by current-potential polarization curves. The result showed that air electrode exhibited the best performance when the ratio of various elements of Catalyst was Mn:Ce:Bi:Pd=1:0.9:0.1:0.5 .At the typical current density 2-100mA/cm2 ,this air electrode potential can be improved by 50-150mV than that of the electrode only containing MnO2. AC impedance properties of different catalysts made of various mental nitrite were investigated .The impedance spectra were analyzed using an equivalent circuit . The simulated data were also obtained and discussed . Catalyst (Mn:Ce:Bi:Pd=1:0.9:0.1:0.5) can decrease, kinetic resistance. AA size battery made of this catalyst was tested with constant resistance(10Ω) discharge. Equality discharge voltage showed that this catalyst had steady performance .In order to improve utilize of zinc electrode . curing glue A and water-absorbing agent B were used to bond zinc powder with certaint proportion .AA size zinc-air battery was maded of this bonded zinc electrode.which discharged by constant resistance (10Ω) continuously.this battery discharge for 27 hour as double times as specified time of AA size alkaline-manganese battery before voltage was 0.9V . capacitance was,utilize of zinc electrode was 59. 9% .this paper analyse the effect of two additives and otheradhesive bonding reagents on utilize of zinc electrode,.the best proportion (A: 1. 5% , B: l%)of them was obtained by contrast examination. |
