As the development tendency of marine electrical propulsion, podded electrical propulsion have been widely applied abroad owing to its excellent characteristics. However, at home, attention paid to it is far from enough. There is a gaping gap between internal and external researches, whether in the software or the hardware aspect.In this thesis, first, the status quo of podded electrical propulsion is discussed. Then, based on the newest data and materials, the structure and the tide of popular podded propulsor is analyzed. After thorough researches on internal system of Azipod propulsor, the scheme of management and control on main system that needs to be checked regularly by engine officer is put forward, designed by MCGS and PLC. Its main functions include flow demonstrating, real time monitoring, alarm showing, history data inquiring. Not only is MCGS adopted as developing language, but also ActiveX technology, OLE technology and computer animation technology are used in software designing, the system has friendly user interface and becomes simply operated, conveniently maintained, and upgraded later.This basic research on podded electrical propulsion may be helpful to both ship-owner and ship-designer's decision-making and to extend its applications in China. With scrupulous amendment and perfection, the system can be taken as auxiliary teaching software in such courses as "marine propulsion and control system" and the reference to the design of electrical propulsion simulator. |
