Because of various structure form, technological condition, the demand of construction and something else, construction joints can not be avoided in reinforced concrete frame structure. But the indwell and treatment of construction joints are unreasonable for technology and the organization of construction, some reasons which are the unreasonable position of construction joins, insufficient quivering concrete and unapt treatment of joints can make construction joints be a vulnerable point> influence resist-tensile resist-shear and enduring, may be destroyed earlier in the place in utmost load.So far, the indwelling principle and treating ways of construction joints have been deeply studied all over the world, but the paper which is about overall structure behavior of resisting earthquake with construction joints is very fewer.The main study of this paper is about disadvantage of reinforced concrete frame under earthquake with construction joints which are among column ,beam and plain in one floor and one horizon.So two reinforced concrete frame are designed, which is constructed with construction joints in normal construction way, which is constructed without construction joints.Based on the two frame is compared under low reversed cyclic loading, failure pattern, failure mechanism , characteristic load, deformation restoring behaviors hysteretic behavior, displacement ductility, rigidity degeneration, energy dissipation etc are studied deeply and comparatively, and seismic behavior of frame is also studied while considering construction joints.Through experiment result, it is known that the bottom of column of frame with construction joints which is destroyed is more serious than the frame without construction joints When the frame is under strong horizontal load, the bottom of column with construction joints is destroyed earlier and more serious, the overall reinforced concrete frame strength is influenced for construction joints, so yield load, maximum load, ultimate load are decreased. Because the ratio of residual deformation of frame is increasing, it is disadvantageous of controlling frame lateral deflection when frame is under horizontal earthquake load or wind load.Based on the analysis of rigidity degeneration and energy dissipation etc, seismic behavior of the frame is decreased clearly because of construction joints.In the end ,the reinforced concrete frame without construction joints is computed and analyzed with ansys . the frame are simulated greatly, so hysteretic behavior stress and strain distribution ^ crack propagation are identical with results of experiment.
