As the development of the society, the compressed air refrigeration dryer is used more widely. Because of the shortage of energy in recent years, the demand of saving energy is a development trend to the compressed air refrigeration dryer. So this thesis mainly studied the performance of the compressed air refrigeration dryer. The main research contents are as follows:1. Based on the analysis of the system of compressed air refrigeration dryer, the mathematical model of the system was established. And by using the computer language of Visual C++, the applied software to design the system was developed.2. By analyzing the heat transfer of evaporator and pre-cooled exchanger of compressed air refrigeration dryer, a computer program was developed. Analyzed the influence of geometry and thermodynamic parameters, the trend of the over-all heat transfer coefficient was obtained. At the same time, the influence factors on the pressure drop of the compressed air was analyzed.3. According to the economic optimization rules, a mathematical model was established. By developing the computer program, the optimum temperature of compressed air when it leaves the pro-cooled exchanger to evaporator was calculated. Compared calculation results with experimental datum, which shows that the optimized refrigeration dryer will save cost by 20 percent every year.
