As the developing of technology, more and more field are using precisionactuation. Piezoelectric has a great advantage over other material in precisiondriving field for its quick and precise response. So, Piezoelectric has become a newway to fulfill precision actuation recently.Based on stepping and error compensation method, a precision lineal actuationmechanism of Piezoelectric with long-range and high precision is presented by thepaper.The paper consists of six main chapters, given as follows:Chapter 1 IntroductionThrough the general introduction to main application field,main types withadvantages and disadvantages ,current actuation material , the paper draw aconclusion that PZT has a great advantage in precision actuation field .Also, the chapter gives the analysis of the practical structure and the existingproblems of piezoelectric precision actuator.Chapter 2 Basic theory on piezoelectric driving and its sortThe chapter discusses piezoelectric effect and converse piezoelectric effect.The factors which influence Piezoelectric performance includeelectromechanically coupled coefficients K ,mechanical quality factor Qm ,relative dielectric constant ε,elastic constant s,piezoelectric constant d andperformance parameters ,etc.Piezoelectric material is a kind of elastic solids and its electric characterizationcan be described by electric field intensity E and electric displacement D. for adielectric free from external force in electric field, the relation between electricfield intensity and electric displacement is: D=εEPiezoelectric stack is a kind of rigid ceramics. For its heavy output force andeasy controllable, piezoelectric stack is especially suitable for precision driving.
