With the development of the society and economic technology, large batches of buildings, such as the high arch dams, high structures etc. are emerging. Once these buildings are destroyed, the consequence will be quite serious. So that simulation of joint in the infinite domain has been very important to civil engineering.Based on the combination of mapping infinite element principle and elastic-plastic incremental theory , a coupling model of finite and infinite elements is presented to solve materially nonlinear problems of joints in the infinite foundation.In order to be convenient for comparing I adopt two kinds of model. By organizing the huge nonlinear program, the application of mapping infinite elements are extended to the field of nonlinear in joints research. And for the finite element model I use a finite element software called ANSYS.Compared and analyzed the results of computation, the outcome shows: in comparison with the common finite element, the finite-mapping infinite element coupling system can effectively reduce the computer's scale, improve the computational accuracy and efficiency. Meanwhile the models is proved to be very economical.
