Since the 1990s, research on compound foundation soil has made a great progress. It is realized in the academe that "soil strength is a kind of resource and should be made full use of." CM three dimensional high-strength compound foundation soil can reduce the construction cost by applying the bearing capacity of natural soil. more engineering practice got a good result in construction and economic technology since 1992 in Tianjing, Beijing, Yunnan, Hainan,Zhejiang and so on, In 1997, The Ministry of National Construction issued that CM three dimensional high-strength compound foundation soil is one of new vital technology and spread. Xuzhou, the low-developing area in northern Jiangsu, spreading the technology here can improve not only level of the ground treatment but the economic development as well.This paper probe the CM three dimensional high-strength compound foundation soil into applying in Xuzhou area. Here are the main work and the conclusion:1. By geological prospecting, the geological formation of this area and its cause are known.2. The working principle of the CM three dimensional high-strength compound foundation soil is analyzed. According to the setting trait, the combination of rigidity in plane and vertical is improved and the three-dimensional carrying capacity to the soil,which can enhance clearly the function of soil among piles and increase greatly the carrying-capacity of the compound foundation soil, is formed3. According to the different rigidity of the piles and mutual effects of pile and soil, the calculating method to the carrying-capacity of the CM compound foundation soil is discussed and made ameliorations4. The feasibility of CM three dimensional high-strength compound foundation soil applied in Xuzhou area is analyzed, and made sure in the theory that the technology can be feasible5. Through living examples of project, the design, the construction, the checking process of the compound foundation soil are discussed, which demonstrates the technology is feasible in practice in Xuzhou...
