The circumstance and the development of the parallel inverters on circuit construction and control technology are discussed in this paper. The parallel of inverters provides a reliable AC power supply and a flexible capacity. The static inverters parallel using a common voltage regulator with three-state discrete pulse modulation (DPM) hystersis current control is an easy way to realize parallel system.The parallel inverter system using a common voltage regulator is made of three inverter modules with high frequency pulse DC link and DPM current control. Each inverter module is cascaded by a circuit with duty cycle extended active clamp forward style high frequency pulse DC link and a DC/AC inverting bridge. The control strategy of voltage mode PWM forward-back is adopted by the former, and the control strategy of three-state DPM hystersis current control is adopted by the later. The operation principle of the inverters parallel using a common voltage regulator with three-state DPM hystersis current control is discussed, and current-sharing of the parallel inverter is analyzed with the simulation.A prototype for 3kVA 27VDC/115V400HzAC parallel aviation static inverter system using a common voltage regulator with three-state DPM hystersis current control is designed and successfully developed. The test results demonstrate that this prototype has excellent comprehensive performances such as small bulk, lower weight, high efficiency, high steady precision, fast dynamic response, wide range input voltage, good output waveforms, good effect on current-sharing strong over-load and short-circuit ability, and strong function with different nature load and non-linear load.
