With the advancement of the national economics and the standard of living, High performance' decorative materials are -called for by people, and it should be environmental protection ,rich in decoration , heat-resistant , noise-resistant, preventing static electricity and so on multiplicative performance in the whole material, but nowadays single material is difficult to suffice the development, so it is inevitable to appear for new composite materials, and glass-ceramics/metal composite material is one of kinds. Glass-ceramics/metal composite material are both metal's toughness, matching and formatting easily and glass-ceramics' fine chemical and decorative properties , thereby it is great significant to study on glass-ceramics/metal composite material..In this paper, Li2O - Al2O3 -ZnO-SiO2 system glass-ceramic was studied .The influence of advancing treatment of metal , composition, compound heat treatment on the microstructure of glass-ceramic and the interface adhesive state of glass-ceramic and metal and properties were researched by XRD,DTA,SEM and expansion coefficient, liquid ability , chemical tests. By experimental the proper compositions of glass-ceramic matching with metallic substrate, processing parameters , thus high adhesive strength and fine performance's glass-ceramic/metal composite material can be obtained.First, It was a deep study on the composition of glass-ceramic. The connection of crystal nucleus-P2O5 and ZnO and Al2O3 contents with the microstructure of glass-ceramic and expansion coefficient and main crystal phase were studied, then the influence of composition on glass-ceramic/metal composite performance can be concluded. And the results demonstrated that : when ZnO/ Al2O3 >1 and the content of P2O5 was 4%, the main crystal phase was Lithium Silicate and Cristobalite in the Li2O-Al2O3-ZnO-SiO2 system glass-ceramic and the expansion coefficient was around 123 × 10-7/°C ,and can match well with metal substrate.Second, the influence of advancing treatment of metal and advancing heat treatment on the metal's surface as well as the interface adhesive state were investigated, and the oxidation mechanism of metal was discussed. The process of metal advancing treatment and parameter can be confirmed that: in order to get coarse surface, metal substrate should be first cleaned by organic solvent and rubbed, then at 500°C metal substrate was oxidized for 10~15min , and there will be a oxidationlayer to enhance the joint of glass-ceramic and metal.After the composition was ensured, the choice testing of solvent during the preparation of glass slurry and the influence of compound temperature and the compound time during the compound course of glass-ceramic and metal substrate on the interface adhesive situation, the performance of glass-ceramic/metal composite material were analyzed and discussed, finally compound technique and the compound heat treatment were ensured that: the glass slurry made of mixture organic solvent was sprayed on the surface of the advanced metal substrate , and after dried the composite material was put into the furnace at 800~850℃ and kept for 10 ~ 15min, which can achieve the best results, thus it cooled with the cooling of furnace. and at about 450℃ it can be taken out.
