The paper summarizes the actuality of the methods, technical characteristics, andthe application of the judge of the sand liquefaction of in situ testing measures, thenexpatiates the application in the geotechnical engineering of standard penetration test(SPT), which takes on unique station in the in situ test methods. The paper studies themechanism and primary factors of SPT. The dissertation has analyzed the mechanism ofdrilling bit disturbing the soil mass at the bottom of the hole of different drillingtechnology such as percussive and rotary drilling. It is emphasized the effect of differentdrilling technology to the on-the-spot survey blow count of SPT, and then we discussedthe effect of the judge of the sand liquefaction of the two drilling technology in SPT. Combined with the specific engineering examples, the paper has analyzed andsummarized the effect and characteristic of the two drilling technology in SPT to thestandard penetration blow count in the sandy soil layer. With the regression analysis, wefitted the empirical correlation of two drilling technology in SPT. At the last, throughcontrasting in other engineering practice, it has been proved that the empiricalrelationship is feasible and effective.
