| With the development of the economy of our country and the need for construction. Concrete Faced Rockfill Dam(CFRD) has been widely used as a competitive dam and is supported by many experts in this field. In this paper, the 3D finite element method has been used to analyze the dynamic character and seismic response of CFRD under all sorts of influence factors.Seismic response analysis based on finite element method and equivalent linear method has been performed on a standard 200m CFRD using a dynamic 3D FEM program. Many laws have been established as a result of this analysis. Next, thin-layer elements were used to simulate the interface between faceplates and rocks while 3D thick interface elements were used to simulate the joints between faceplates. Comparison and calculation have been done on different interface and joint situations. Thus following conclusions can be made:First, it is necessary to set interface elements while doing dynamic response of CFRD. The acceleration response and movement response of the dam changed little when considering the interface elements. But the total stress of the slab was madebetter improvement.Second, the concrete facing with joints can improve its stress distribution, and the 3D deformation condition of perimetric joint can be truly simulated when using 3D thick interface elements to simulate it. The joints can reduce the stress of the slab while vertical joints can improve the axial tension stress and horizontal joints can improve the sloping tension stress. The movement of the joints under dynamic condition is not larger than it under static condition. The dynamic displacement of the joints in all direction is about 1 cm. It indicates that the static displacement is the mainly considering factor on the designing of the watertight structure.Influence factors such as height, downriver grades, river profile have been studied for their effect on dynamic responses such as frequency, acceleration, stress of the CFRD. Many laws have been discovered as a result. It is hopeful that these conclusions will make useful references for the works of practical projects such as earthquake resistant design , sites and configurations of CFRD, and in other engineering calculations. |
