With the development of science and technology, the application of computer has sunk into all the fields of the society. The continuous upgrade of the computer hardware device,the continuous improvement of CAD/CAM technology and software has made the 3D design and computer motion simulation become the direction of mechanical design development. In the process of design and mend of mechanism , optimization is very important .It is hard to use traditional method .Meeting with this demand, the dissertation designed and manufactured a new type of inspection car.The rail flaw inspection car is an appropriative mechanism to detect damage on the surface and in the rail . At first , we optimize the carriage of the rail flaw inspection car , improve on the structure of the detector frame with the reversible cushioning device, and change the material of the inspection car to the common steel .This dissertation introduces the whole structure design and parts design, the kinematics analysis and dynamics analysis of system in details, and simulates motion by using the advanced software—CosmosMotion. At last it proved the validity and availability of the theory .In the windows operation system ,colligating Dynamic Link Library technology ,Component Object Model interface technology and Microsoft ActiveX Data Object database technology ,database system of Rail flaw inspection car is successfully developed by the second development of SolidWorks with Oriented Object Programming tool Visual C++6.0 .The new database system can be used to store the data and drawing of the inspection car .
