Study Of Vehicle Object Detection And Traffic Flow Measuring System

The overview, structure, current development situation of Intelligence Transportation System(ITS) and the Flow Measuring System in ITS are introduced first in this paper.Several kinds of moving object detection techniques at present and their own strongpoints and shortcoming are also introdued in this paper. Through comparation each other we put forward the superiority of the video detection measure. Vehicle detection method based video and traffic flow mesuring system based fictitious loop are studied in details, the image collection hardware equipment is discussed. Considering the characters of the moving vihicles pictures, the method of background subtraction is mostly studied to pick up the vihicle. The method of background obtainment is put forward and the mothed of the background update is studied. A reliable update mothed is brought forward and the threshold confirmance in the division method is studied and compared, the the Otsu method with better result is choosed. The aftertreatment methods which are suitable for follow-up judge and a real-time and reliable video traffic flow measuring method are put forward and realized through programming with Visual C++,and we have tested about a large number of image arrays under the environment of real road. The result is good.
