The traffic micro-simulation systems, which provide the effective testing platform for the researches and constructions of urban transportation, are of broad practical prospect by overcoming the drawbacks of fieldtrial systems such as huge consumption and implementation concerned difficulties. The traffic information obtaining, traffic status analysis and estimation are indispensable components to the micro-simulation systems for their traffic simulating and scheme reasoning functions. Due to the special characteristics of the mixed traffic in China, the simulation systems for urban mixed traffic are still under consideration. Thus, researching on information obtaining, traffic status analysis and estimation is valuable.The thesis, which is mostly based on Simulation and Analysis System of Urban Mixed Traffic (SASUMT), focuses on the study of information obtaining, traffic status analysis and estimation methods in traffic micro-simulation systems. Arerious of new methods are proposed to construct a uniform integration of data processing. The main contents and contributions can be summed up as follows.1. With regard to the model construction and specialities of traffic micro-simulation systems, a new method for obtaining traffic network information based on the time-spatial convert is proposed. Methods such as average count within time sects, traffic network information deducing and a/v two dimensional vehicle speciality table checking are proposed to provide real-time traffic information for traffic status analysis and estimation, traffic control and dynamic traffic guidance.2. Designing a new point-line-plane layered method for carrying out traffic status analysis and estimation with regard to the micro-simulation traffic network model. With the analysis of key intersection layer, trunk road layer and traffic network layer, the layered method of traffic status analysis and estimation provides integrated opinions for feasibility analyses and compare of traffic projects.3. Proposing a traffic synthetical estimating method with Analytic Hierarchy Process and improving it by making use of XML structured storage. By these means, a new facility oriented to synthetical estimating is constructed.4. Presenting the designation and implementation of Simulation and Analysis System of Urban Mixed Traffic and putting the above new methods into primary use. Now the system was checked and accepted by Economic and Commerce Committee of P. R. China ([2003] No. 216) (see also in the appendix II). The verification of the Wen'er Road-Wensan Road one-way reconstruction is simulated using this system.In the end, the thesis concludes with a summary and perspectives of the future research of the field.
