On the basis of summarizing the correlative research achievements about post-installed chemically bonded rebar, this paper discusses this technique through experimental study and analytical research. The main contributions are list below:In the first part, background and correlative achievements about this research are introduced. In the second part, pull-out experimental researches on postinstalled chemically bonded rebar in unreinforced concrete are introduced. This part includes two series of experimental researches. The first one includes pull-out experiments on 18 postinstalled rebar members using four kinds of structural adhesive, in 10d, 15d and 20d embedded depth respectively. It studies the failure models, P-s curves, capability, stiffness and ductility of the members, and compares them with old experimental data, to discuss bond-anchorage behavior of postinstalled chemically bonded rebar. The second one includes pull-out experiments on 9 postinstalled rebar members using RE500 and JGN two kinds of structural adhesive, welding at different position on rebar respectively. It mainly observes the failure models and P-s curves of the members, comparing them with that of the nonwelding member, to study the different influences of weld at different positions on bonding behavior of the postinstalled rebar. In the third part, experimental researches on aseismatic behavior of RC columns with postinstalled chemically longitudinal rebar under fixed concentric axial loading and cyclic lateral loading are introduced. The four column members use JGN and RE500 two kinds of structural adhesive, in 10d and 15d embedded depth respectively, included welding and nonwelding members. Through compare and analysis on failure models, ductility and energy-absorbing capacity of the members, the evaluation of their aseismatic capability are offered. In the fourth part, based on research achievements about bond-anchorage of rebar and concrete, the analytical method and the numerical calculation on bond-anchorage of postinstalled chemically rebar are discussed.Through combining experimental research and theory analysis, this paper discusses all-around problems on postinstalled chemically bonded rebar, and offers some suggests on engineering practice.
