The dissertation researches on multiform seals' test methods and technics, and presents the design and prototype fabrication of a new type of multiform seals test-bed.Our main approach in this dissertation was: (1) specialize the structure of the seal chamber and the seal shaft so that it can be easily manufactured and assembled and adapt to multiform seals, (2) advanced control technology (eg: PID controller and fuzzy logic controller) and DCS are used in the multiform seals test-bed in order to decrease the cost of product and enhance the control system reliability and stability, (3) multi-threads program method is used in the Application software of the multiform seals test-bed in order to reduce the time delay of software.The multiform seals test-bed consists of mechanical system and control system. This dimensions modeling was presented for mechanical design. Morse taper is used in the structure of the interface between driver shaft and seal shaft to enhance their coaxiality. The sensors in this system intended for precision measurement and avoided the error of measure brought by common instrument. Fuzzy control method and PID method are used to control the oil temperature and revolution speed of the driver shaft. The tolerance range of oil temperature is ±3℃. Three percent error is permitted to revolution speed of the driver shaft. For the dangerous of heated oil (170℃), distribution control system is used in this test-bed. The application software of the multiform seals test-bed is designed for windows platform with graphic user interface.As a part of this dissertation, the experiment was implemented, and the result of test experiment was presented at the end of this thesis. To this day, the multiform seals test-bed has been used in factory without matter for one year.
