The fast development of the electric power industry makes the scale of power network larger and larger, and its network more complex. The result of this is that as important tools of planning, design, operation and management, electric power system analysis software packages must be improved constantly according to the need of development of modern networks. Modern networks needs constantly modern analysis measure, it puts forward a higher request to the function, precision, scale and speed of the software and expects to make use of the latest achievement of computer hardware and software technology to deal with the practical problem of the power network. The electric power system analysis software carrying on research to the operation characteristic of the system with the mathematics model and number value method, which is used for confirming the plan of design, drafting the operation way, exactly setting the control parameter of the automatics, carrying on accident analysis and helping operate personnel to make the correct decision.For many years, in the course of development of the electric power system analysis software, many people repeat the same work many times, even the code which wrote by the same development group even a person, which is made a new start under a lot of situation because of the difference of the environment and customer demand, which causes resource to waste enormously and hinder the faster development of the software technology and popularization and application of new method, new theory to a certain extent.Because of this current situation, my article has put forward a kind of new softwaredevelopment thought: the element software development thought. Element software development thought is that a system is divided into several independent elements, and then we form such a system by these elements. In order to describe the architecture of the element electric power system analysis software clearly, my article has introduced the course of the systematic element forming the system from these respects, such as systematic demand analysis, development and test of the element, and maintenance of the element database, in detail. On this basis, my article provides the architecture of the element electric power system analysis software based on three layers of application of Windows DNA.It is the key step of developing electric analysis software to carry on mathematics modeling to power system, the mathematics model of power system includes electric network model, generator model, load model and various kinds of automatics model, etc. According to the mathematics model of power system, my article has made a research on the application of element thought in development of electric analysis software.According to the request of input and output of the element, we divide the element into the state element and the no state element; the development of the electric analysis software is realized by the state element.According to the architecture of the whole system and the theory that we introduce, we have described the realization course of this method and the realization of each function module in detail with some block diagrams. The purpose is to show that the theory established may be realized with computer technology and has a strong feasibility.At last, according to a actual electric analysis software case: DNIMS (Distribution network Implement and Management System), which is realized on the basis of our theory, the validity and practicability of adaptive calculation and management are proved in practical production and operation of power.
