For lightening the pressure on cities power grid, ice storage system is becoming more popular in our country. There is a key problem for developing ice storage system that how to take optimal advantage of the ice storage system, and make the ice storage system more effective. Throwing these, consumer can achieve the best benefit. During recent years, the optimal control has replaced the chiller priority and ice priority as the most important control method in the ice storage system gradually.By the studying of the optimal control of ice storage system, we bring up the currently course of optimal control in ice storage system. In this course, we get the way how to predict the thermal load and the math model of load distribution. Aim at the most important step in the course of optimal control system, we bring up the way which use the ANN (artificial neural network) to predicting the thermal load of building, and build the math model based on the ANN. According to the math model, we write the program by Visual Basic. For prove the accuracy of this program, we use the DeST program to numerical value simulation. So we can use the data which is get by the DeST to train and test the program, and the result is satisfied. After confirming thu control strategy based on predicting the thermal load, we combine the optimal control strategy and the Siemens auto control system which is used in a real building. Then, we bring up some function mode and the auto control project which use the on-line load predicting. We input the result which made by the optimal control strategy to the auto control system. Through the combine, we can make the data transfer quickly between the optimal control system and the auto control system, and the data will be shared by these two systems.
