The Mechanism Of History And Legend's Materialization On City's Ground

As an very old country China is, many Chinese cities have a long history and many historic events happened there . In the past, by constructing historical places on parts of city' s ground, these historical resources played an very important role in shaping the city' s form on this area. In my study, I called the construction of a historical place is the historical event or legend ' s materialization . In one hand , the historical event or the legend materialized on the city' s ground will influence the creation of a city' s humanism environment. In the other hand, this type of materialization is beneficial to the cultural identifying and the establishment of the characteristic aspects of a national or a regional culture.Based on the seven cases' analysis, my study will discuss some questions about this historical resource which played an very important role both in shaping the form of some areas on city' s ground and in constructing a city' s humanism environment. I must announce that, in my study , this historical resource is limited to history and legend. These questions are: 1)the rule and the mechanism of this kind of materialization ; 2) the category of condition, approach, means and mechanism of this materialization; and 3) the humanism effect and the cultural significance of this materialization to a city.
