From the relative survey data it shows that the amount of dairy cows on hand are about6,873,000 in china in the year 2002, while Shangdong has reached the number over 390,000 in the year 2002. But as well there are a great number of problems accompany with, such as most of the farms are private owners with only small dairy population and poor condition dairy building, and still in the extensive raise state. Also especially the designing are unreasonable and nonstandard, the dairy building are in poor condition, the environment control measures are not suitable, etc. Those are the bottlenecks that limit the development of dairy industry. So if want to guarantee a sustainable development of the dairy industry we should learn the advanced technology and modern facility from abroad. And according to the fact and carry out the mode and measure that fit with the practical situation of our country.From the dairy breeding experience of advanced countries, we can learn that the small farms will been substituted by the larger scale one. But the pollution problem will occur for the disadvantage in manure and sewage concentration purifying and handling when the farm scale is too large. So the moderate dairy farms are feasible. Thus, this paper provides a series designs that are fit for the moderate dairy farms under the fact according to the practical situation of Shandong. The population of the adult dairy cow is 400 for each designing farm; all these farms are well organized by utilizing the free stall bar raising technique, feeding the TMR diet, milking in central milking hall, clearing the fecal by labor; adopting the roll shade system to the wall body, setting the lighting area in the roof. Also equipped with the environment controlling and protecting facilities. These measures not only take the building's sunstroke prevention and cooling, cold prevention in winter, ventilation, lighting, moisture proofing into account, but also fully concerning about the location selecting, the waste handling and the virescence to guarantee the sustainable development of the farm. And I eagerly hope that the designing dairy farm can provide as a model for the scale dairy farm building of Shandong.
