The mining locomotive haulage is the main transport equipments in coal field. Its drive system directly impacts on the running cost and safe reliability. In direct torque control system, it is possible to control the stator flux and the torque which can achieve minimal torque response time for big inertia system. It has important theory value and actual significance to build a DTC system for mining locomotive haulage. According to analysis, the paper presents a new DTC system for mining locomotive haulage. Reviewing the present state and development of AC drive system of mining locomotive haulage and its scheme analysis, a fuzzy controller with regulating factors is designed as speed regulator to improve the performance of DTC system during parameter variations and load disturbance in AC drive system of mining locomotive haulage. In order to make regulating factors optimization in the speed regulator, an algorithm based on ITAE performance index and particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is designed. Because of its powerful optimization function and easy to implementation, the structure of control system is simple and its optimization function is improved greatly. The simulation result proved that not only the overshoot of control system is the smallest but also its rise time and transition time are the shortest. For verifying feasibility of the scheme, the simulation model and design thoughts for design of hardware and software based on TMS320LF2407 DSP are given. The simulation results for different work condition prove that presented system can fit for operating in complex coal field environment.
