The optimization design of location parameters and structure parameters are discussed in this paper for the undamped vibration absorbers attached to the continuous systems under the simple harmonic excitation. Based on the Sub-structure method, the forces acted on the beam, produced by single or a group of undamped vibration absorbers under different simple harmonic excitations are derived. The equivalent transfer functions of the combined system including the main system's transfer functions are deduced. This function expression can simplify the calculation and save the calculation time effectively. The influence of both locations and structure on the natural modes of the combined system is discussed. The theoretical formula of objective function aim at maximal kinetic energy of beam is founded, and the influence of absorber's locations and structure parameters on the objective function is also considered. Finally, the optimization design of the undamped vibration absorber's location parameters and structure parameters are developed. The numerical examples for the simply-supported beams are considered to discuss the influence of the locations and structure parameters on vibration absorption of beam connected by some absorbers under the different simple harmonic excitations. The optimization design of the absorber's locations and structure parameters are also discussed through the numerical calculation. A small-step searching method is introduced to find the best locations and structure parameters of the undamped vibration absorbers.
