Finite Element Analysis Of Expansion Reinforcing Band And Its Application In Engineering

Now, the installing of expansion reinforcing band is a new design-construct way to prevent crack caused of temperature in the foundation work. But ,the way also faces many problems, such as selecting of expanding agent, settlement of confined expansion ratio, collocation of expansion reinforcing band, setting of breadth of expansion reinforcing band and so on. These Problems directly influence he use of expansion reinforcing band in the engineering.Based on the mechanics of shrinkage compensation about expansion concrete, this article derives the mechanics of expansion reinforcing band and the finite element analysis (FEA) equation of expansion reinforcing band, and proposes a series of FEA for expanding process of expansion reinforcing band.In first, based on the equation of thermal balance, it derives FEA equation of thermal conductivity, including of coefficient of heat conduction, film coefficient and thermal, and gives iteration algorithm. And it applies method of contact-impact to FEA for temperature and stress of mass concrete, derives FE A equation of thermal-contact and displacement-contact.Next, based on the formed FEA equations and corresponding algorithms, it develops ANSYS software, and proposes a series of computation and analysis about temperature and stress of general concrete foundation, expansion concrete foundation and expansion concrete foundation with expansion reinforcing bands of different breadth. A series of results are given to show the effect of expanding agent, such as the betterment of stress distribution of concrete foundation, the prolonging of dehiscence hour, the appearance of early stage crack; and indicate that the installing of expansion reinforcing bands of different breadth equation of expansion reinforcing band, and proposes a series of FEA for expanding process of expansion reinforcing band only improve the stress distribution of adjacent area of expansion reinforcing band, but makes little effect on else area.Finally, based on the results about expansion reinforcing band, a FEA of the completed foundation in the city of Dalian. A series of results are given to show that based on the installing of expansion joint, the application of expansion concrete and expansion reinforcing band,effectively improves stress distribution of concrete foundation, avoids the appearance of crack caused by various factors, prevents and cures the crack of foundation.
