The Design And Application Of Compound Harmonic Abating Device

This paper discusses the importance of harmonic abatement. On the base of analysis of respective characteristics of harmonic filter, active power harmonic filter and compound harmonic filter, the paper explains typically the principles and design parameters of compound type harmonic abating device used in system with series of harmonic filter and active power harmonic filter. Case analysis on a developed three-phase and three-wire compound harmonic filter used in the abatement project in Jingyi Feiyue Cast Steel Plant of Fengtai District is introduced. The assessment and analysis of the series composition of harmonic filter and active power harmonic filter is explained.
