The circuit-field coupled time-stepping finite element method is used to analyze the dynamic starting procedure of the induction motors in this paper. During the analysis a transient magnetic field model is built. The model can consider the influence of nonlinear characteristic of iron magnetic material, the skin effect of rotor bar, the tooth pitch effect during the rotor moving. So that, the calculation result will be more close to the actual situation. The accurate current, torque, speed curve varying with time can be gained with this circuit-field coupled analysis method. Simulations about several typical operation statuses of induction motors are done. The results have good agreement with the test data and that proves its high credibility. So it is instructive for the motor design. ANSYS software and FORTRAN program are effectively combined in this paper. Not only it simplifies the programming procedure but also it improves the efficiency of calculation. |
