Some usual methods of pile-raft foundation in the project design such as bearing capacity of single pile, group piles and settlement calculation are introduced in this thesis. The model of settlement of group piles, its weighted principle, the inter-action of upper construction are discussed emphasisly, and also the normal settlement-control, capacity-control of pile-assignments are analysed in some aspect. In the next chapter the methods mentioned above are used in the real project of "Public Security Training Center in Yun Nan Province" , for the internal effects of raft in the pile-assignment, the number of piles under the core tube has been increased to decrease the effects to upper structure. At the end of this project, the optimized methods are brought out in this article after comparing the calculation results with the actual measuring results.
