Dynamic Compaction ground treatment method, which was invented by an French engineer Menard, was brought into China in the seventy years in the last century. This treatment method needs just simple apparatus, less cost and is easy to conduct. So it has been widely spreaded and developed throughout the world, and became the first choice of the engineers to make groundtreatment. Nowadays, the Dynamic Compaction has been successfully applied to the treatment of gravels and low saturated soils. But it is still indeterminate to utilize this method successfully in the treatment of highly saturated clays, silt or silty like soils for some of them hace failed. So it is necessary and significative to study the techniques to increase the odds of success when applying the Dynamic Compaction method, and to expand the scope of its utilizations.This text is based on a number of datum collected widely throughout the worldwide about the technical research on the Dynamic Compaction and its practical engineering applications. Then combined with the civil construction practice, developed a new method of Dynamic Compaction to deal with the ground with drop-fill blocks of rock, collapsible loess ground, liquefied saturated silt soil ground, mussily filled soil ground, gravel-silty soil ground, flyash ground etc.. Also analysised and advanced the corresponding parameters and controlling method for design and constructions. Then put forward the rules that the effective strengthening depth of drop-fill rock ground depends not onlyon the single compaction energy but also the number of the compaction and the exponent relations of them as well as the mathematical model, put forward the concept and characteristics that the strongly compacted collapsible loess has a highly densified strip, densified strip and affected strip within the effective depth, of which the the collapsibility of the loess located in the highly desified and desified strips could be deleted. The suitable water content of loess is found rather low and the optimium water content is the plastic limit. And also advance a new idea of Dynamic Compaction construction with informatization and the mathematical model of controlling the construction with informatization.The above mentioned treatment methods have been tested in the practical engineering and have obtained obvious socially economical benefit.
