Cable-membrane structure is a large-span structure system. It is different from otherstructures such as: wood, steel, brick or concrete and so on. It is a kind of new strcture sy-stem, following truss, thin shell and cable roof structures. For the material's characterist-ic of high tensile strength, it will be light deadweight, large span and aseismatic. The slin-ky form of enbending and multi-surface makes the perfect unification of architect's plas-tic arts and structuralmaster's structural rationality. This essay is based on much work of fomers and attains beneficial conclusion throu-gh systemic analysis and research. The essay firstly recalls the development process andactuality of cable-membrane structure. And it analyzes and concludes following aspects:material specility,form-finding analysis,load analysis,cutting analysis,CAD, and introdu-cesits research background. Nonlinear finite element theory is one of the basic theories that theoretically analyzeand calculat cable-membrane structure. The second chapter expatiates on nonlinear finiteelement theory of cable-membrane structure and concludes finite membrane unite theory,cable member increment theory and solution on nonlinear algebraic equation system. For able-membrane structure belongs to yielding system, the action of wind load is ve-ry obvious. The third chapter do some research on the character of wind, the effect doneby wind load and so on. And it uses software-ANSYS to simulate pulsating wind load bycomputer, and establishes the foundation for wind-induced response analysis. The fourth chapter researches on wind-induced response of cable-membrane structure;analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of different methods;puts forward the superior-ityof using time-history analysis and ratiocinates specific solution of time-history analy-sis. Then thechapter uses time-history analysis to do wind-induced response calculation of saddle-shap-ed cable-membrane structure model. At last the essay pertinently concludes the above research cotent and fruits, and poin-ts out some problems needing more research and to be solved.
