Along with the building of 200-300 meter high arch dam and the needing for discharging flood, Bearing structure of radial gate which is composed of pier and radial gate buttress is necessary; it is one of the non-poles structures. The forced behavior of this sort of non-poles structure (especially the combination of pier and large beam) havn't been studied much by people. The stresses of this sort of bearing stucture need to be studied. In addition, the vibration problem of arch dam body and the dynamic influence problem of large aperture in dam body are important factors for safe of outlet structure.On the basis of WuJiang Goupitan engineer and the work of predecessors, this paper has discussed the above problems and the major studies are as follows:(1) Static characteristic analysis on bearing structure composed of pier and large beam on high arch dam.(2) Pulsating pressure of water analysis for the needing of load in vibration response analysis.(3) Study the arch dam body's dynamic characteristics (frequency and relevant vibration patterns) how to be imfluenced by bearing structure that is composed of pier and large beam radial gate buttress.(4) Study the arch dam body's modal response (dynamic displacement and dynamic stress) how to be imfluenced by bearing structure under action of pulsating pressure.
