| The existence of the organic matter leads to the soil high plasticity, high contractility, high compressibility, low permeation coefficient and low strengths. Generally, the high organic matter ratio soil should be reinforced to satisfy the need of the engineering.Through the laboratory experiments, a certain clay in Hangzhou is mixed with organic matter and the Atterberg limits test of the organic soil is carried on to study the relationship between organic matter ratio and liquid limits, plastic limits, and plasticity index. Mixing the organic matter into a certain silty clay in Hangzhou, the organic soil is reinforced with the cement or the cement mixing with the GR03. Unconfined compression strength tests are carried on to study the relationship between the strength of the reinforced soil and GR03 mixing ratio, organic matter ratio, cement mixing ratio, w/C ratio, time, etc. The unconsolidated-undrained triaxial compression tests are carried on to analyze the rupture form of the reinforced soil and to simulate the representative stress-strain curves. The main conclusions are listed as follows:The relationship between the ratio of the organic matter and liquid limits can be simulated by a linear function. The relationship between the ratio of the organic matter and plastic limits can be simulated by a linear function,The reinforcing experiments with cement show that the relationship between strength and organic matter ratio can be simulated by a decaying exponential function, the relationship between strength and cement mixing ratio can be simulated by an s-growth function, the relationship between strength and w/C ratio can be simulated by a parabola function, and the relationship between strength and time can be simulated by a hyperbola function. The reinforcing experiments with cement mixing with GR03 show that GR03 can enhanced the strength of the reinforced soil effectively, the relationship between strength and GR03 mixing ratio can be simulated by a linear function, the relationship between strength and organic matter ratio can be simulated by a decaying exponential function, the relationship between strength and cement mixing ratio can be simulated by a growing exponential function, the relationship between strength and w/C ratio can be simulated by a hyperbola function, and the relationship between strength and time can also be simulated by a hyperbola function. The stress-strain curves of the reinforced soil can be simulated by an exponential function. |
