Namely along with the rapid development of power electronics technology, computer technology and automatic control technology, the electric transmission technology is being faced with a history revolution, it has become development trend that AC transferring speed replaces direct current speed and computer digital control technology replaces the simulating control technology . Frequency conversion is generally acknowledged by the home and abroad that it has a great future with excellent speed , extensive scope of application and other many merits. Based on an overall review of related papers published at home and abroad, this dissertation is devoted to the control strategies and implementation of the fully digital AC motor drive system, including the design of control system hardware and software and intelligent control.Firstly, direct vector control is compared with indirect vector control based on the mathematic model of induction motor. It shows the former is more suitable for AC motor drive system.The rotor field oriented control has brought essential advances in AC variable speed drive system. Speed sensorless induction motor drive promotes the simplicity and robustness further, and two problems must be sowed in the system : the speed estimation and rotor flux observation. Based on the former researches, the speed estimation and rotor flux observation methods are studied using the theory of Model Reference Adaptive System. With the help of estimation theory, a flux estimator is devised, which is based on the analysis of parameter sensitivity in flux estimation .The simulation results show the MRAS-based field oriented control system has good static and dynamic performance.The digital control in a high speed is a coming development direction, The motor special controller—TMS320LF2407 have merits such as the stability is strong and precision is high, repeatability is good etc, has integrated auxiliary equipment of motor control to simplify hardware for the system, and have reduced the cost . The design of hardware and software for the fully digital AC motor drive system, implemented by author, based on a digital signal processor (DSP) and intelligent power module and the program block diagram of the software are given.Finally, the test equipment for AC motor drive system is introduced. The results of simulation and experimentation approved that the control strategies presented inthis dissertation are quite effective. It shows that this AC motor drive system is successful and advanced.
