Optical current transformer (OCT) is a new-style electric equipment, because of the sensing method differences between OCTs and traditional current transformers(CT),OCTs have much advantages than CTs, and which makes OCTs would have been wildly used in future power system. There are two fundamentally of the optical-electric current transducers, which are active OCTs and non-active OCTs. After analyzing the current development of photo electricity current transformer, this article introduces transformer based on Rogowski coil and its theoretical analysis and experimental research as well as the accomplishment and assessment of its sample.The question of power supply in the high voltage side of the OCT is a very important part in the design of transformer which can determine whether the whole system can work rightly or not. This paper discusses several methods of power supply and then adopts the method whose power supply was provided by laser. This paper describes the working characteristics of the key apparatus LD and optoelectric conversion,and deeply researches the drive circuit, protection circuit and temperature controlled circuit. A low power consumption design of the electronic circuit in the high voltage side is given because of the very limited energy which can be supplied by laser.The dissertation also narrates a series experiments to proof DOCT performance, such as temperature stability, precision etc. As rogowski coil current transformer worked under the bad condition of electromagnetism disturbance, the article studied its EMC and provides the design anti-jamming.The detailed introduction of the experiment, examination and operation of the Rogowski coil current transformer of 110KV and the experiment results of sample machine are given...
