Dynamics modeling is one of the key technologies in virtual prototyping of the complex mechanical systems, such as automobile it has important influence on simulation efficiency and result validation of complex mechanical systems.This thesis is supported by Hubei scientific and technological project " digital design , analysis and simulation integrated platform research, development and industrialization" (2001AA104A04 ), which goal is to develop a new generation complex mechanical systems virtual prototype modeling and simulation platform considering China real conditions, having independent copyright and easy to use. This thesis is focused on relevant technologies in the dynamics modeling of complex mechanical systems.The model elements of complex mechanical systems based on object-oriented are analyzed and abstracted firstly, the class expressing the inter-relations between the model elememts of the toplogy structure are acquired and the logic architecture to support automatic modeling facing complex mechanical systems dynamics simulation is implemented . Secondly, the model management technology among them is discussed in details, the maintenance mechanism of the related relations is studied with the classification of dealing with to the related relation in the topology structure of the whole model. The subsystem technology facing visual modeling of complex mechanical system dynamics to solve the puzzle in the old modeling software with lower modeling efficency and diffcult to use is presented, which are explained using the multistage view transformation and implemention mechanism in many kinds of interface. The technology such as logic architecture, model management and subsystem presented in this thesis are applied to the automobile complex mechanical system, and a model library of automobile is built to support the fast modeling of the automobile dynamics simulation. The simulation control interface is the bridge between the modeling platform and the dynamics software, the modeling platform to ADAMS/Solver interface is discussed in detail, and the implementation mechanism of automobile dynamics simulation is presented.Finally, based on researches above and combined with computer graphics, database technology etc., a simulation modeling platform InteDyn1.0 for complex mechanical systems.are developed. The architecture and function of the platform are simple introduced, combined with the study on model library of the automobile, sub-system model and full automobile model are built on this platform, the simulation validation is carried out using this platform. The results show that the research works in this thesis are validated.
