Deck Paving is a technical problem in the construction of long span steel bridges. The conditions and requirements of the application of surfacing are far more stringent than these of ordinary road pavements. Now more and more long span bridges are constructed in our country. The orthotropic steel deck is generally applied for the long span steel bridge. But among these orthotropic steel box bridges, most have various deck pavement deteriorations. So systemic research of deck pavement deterioration will benefit paving design and maintenance, and also provide curing index.Firstly, Based on repairing research of deck pavement on Jiang Yin Bridge, this dissertation investigates deck paving in our country and abroad, especially long span steel bridge pavement types and deteriorations, then classifies pavement deteriorations. According to this classification, investigations of Jiang Yin Bridge deck pavement, including preparation reports on construction of Gussasphalt and traffic axle loads data, are made for analysis.According to following investigations of Jiang Yin Bridge deck pavement, main deteriorations include cracking, rutting, shearing, and cracking, are mostly caused by fatigue. Secondly, analyzes cracking causes of this bridge deck pavement and over loading trucks' influence on cracking. Furthermore, with the FEA (Finite Element Analysis) method, analyzes the mechanical changes between cracking status and uncracking status. The research shows that deck pavement deteriorations of Jiang Yin Bridge are mainly caused by heavy traffic, overload and low speed. The research also indicates that pavement mechanic state will be worse when cracking, and that cracks will extend. Thirdly, analyzes rutting causes and the states of rutting development, using rutting test data and deck pavement rutting depth.Based on the research above, this dissertation provides four repair schemes for Jiang Yin Bridge including paving material and paving structure. With laboratory tests, 60mm- thick, two- layer scheme of epoxy asphalt concrete is best, so recommend this for pavement repairing. |
