Ship launch is a technical pricess to put the ship into water after ship's construction. It is an important procedure. Ship longitudinal launch is widely used by the large and middle shipyards. In recent years, the ship's tonnage is more and more large. So the force between the hull and the slipway in the berth is increased with the ship's tonnage. Their design capacity is not suffice to build the large tonnage ships. There are always accidents during the ship launch around the world. It means that the traditional ship launch calculate method is not able to fulfill the request to ship launch's safety. It is necessary to get a new way to appraise and predict the ship launch's safety. On the other hand, make some measures to assure the ship safely launched in the river. This thesis is intended to set up a ship launch model which thinks over all-around problems happened in ship launch. The hydro dynamic has a great effect in the motion pose during the stern float to the full float. The lateral curent will lead the hull transverse move during ship launch. The hull will transver rotate with the bow support. If the transverse movement is great, it will lead the collided of hull and bank.According to the calculate model put forward this thesis, we made the corresponding calculate program to numerical simulation. The tesult shows the accuracy of this calculate model. At the same time, we had an experiment to test the ship launch'stransverse displacement and got the ship's track in the launching. It is accurate compared with the test result. We used this new model to calculate in a ptactice ship launching. The data calculated by this model proved that this model hadd better approximately than traditional method.
