The main function of steam generator is transferring the heat from the reactor core carried by primary side coolant to secondary side water through U-thbe, then secondary side water chang into steam which is carried to the turbine. Water level has a direct effect on steam and the safety of steam generator. Therefore it is important and necessary for us to control water level of steam generator and it is valuable to have study on water level control.Taking the structural features and operation principles of steam generator into account, this paper establish a nonlinear mathematical model, predigest it and deduce the transfer function of water level.Based on the dynamic characteristics research on U-tube, a cascade control system, a feedforward-feedback control system, a Smith predictor and a robust H infinity control system are studied. Account for the quick load change in shipping nuclear dynamic plant, the four control systems are studied with different load disturbance. The simulation results show that the four control systems have good control quality and each has its peculiarity .
