Study of water resource value is estimated on the base of resource economics, we could ascertain its value through many kind of ration's method. This is very important for person to deploy resource availability and reasonably, it is also the key for study of check for resource value. At the same time it is indispensable to the tactic of continued development.Through analysis and study to modern theory for study of water resource and method former, we found follow problem: because water resource is very difficult to estimate with data, so we haven't enough complete theory and method to check and study the value of water resource; the theory for water resource and other natural resource value haven't been unified, source of value and method for confirming value and value former haven't criterion, and there are many dispute; there is very less fruit of study on water resource value, but the fruit of calculation for practicality of water resource From the present analysis and research on theories and models of water resource value, we can find the following problems: First, at present, since the water resource is difficult to be quantified, there is no mature theory or method on water resource valuation; Second, the existing value theories on natural resources such as water resource have not reached a common understanding, and resource, defining method, and model of valuation are not standardized; Third, achievement on water resource's calculation of magnitude of value is rare, while relative achievement on water resource's calculation of magnitude of object is rich. Natural resources' calculation of magnitude of object is the basis of their calculation of magnitude of value. However, if natural resources are brought into the calculation system of national economy, natural resources' magnitude of value has to be calculated. Therefore, further research on natural resources' magnitude of value, especially that of water resource, is a must-do thing.In view of the above existing problems, this article makes further research and discussion on theories and models of water resource valuation. First of all, the article clearly defines the water resource valuation theory from the intension of water resource. Then it defines the quantified extension of water resource's magnitude of value. At last, it takes Jingbo Lake as subject of research, and further proves the validity and rationality of the theory and model of water resource valuation.The features of this study are as follows: Firstly, it clearly defines the water resource valuation theory, the valuation resource, the valuation-confirming method, and the valuation-quantifying extension. Secondly, in the model study, water resource is divided into two parts according to the intension value and value resource. Furthermore, the water resource's value is calculated with different methods instead of simply one—this is because of the complexity of water resource's calculation. Thirdly, the theory and model are further proved with studies on example.Through researching on water resource valuation theory and quantifying model, the article comes into the following conclusions: Scientific and theoretical definition can make valuation more practical and pertinent. The quantified extension of water resource valuation in this study is based on the interchange relationship between water-resource system and social system, and confirms the economy-related and quantifiable part while eliminates the part that has no direct relationship with economy system and unquantifiable (i.e.:"the eco-value" mentioned in this article).Although the calculation on the example has some disadvantages, it still proves the practicability of the water resource valuation theory and model.
