This paper present main part of the hardware and sofeware design of the Development of Automation System for Pumping Station.In this paper, many chips and interfaces in hardware were concerned. They were AD convertor,DA convertor.real time chip.switch signal input,switch signal output,printer interface,modem control,eeprom,LCD module and IR keyboard.Then the universality and expansibility of hardware were discussed.About the coding of software,the software was coded into three layers,as follows:System layer,Driver layer and Application task layer.The construction of layers were dicussedAnd the software of this paper was developed at three layers.About the arithmetic,the increment PID control arithmetic was implemented on single chip . And the constant pressure water supply by inverter was achieved by using this arithmetic.Constant pressure water supply system, Automatic water injection system, Automatic water supply system and Unmanned automatic water supply system constitued constituted the Automation System for Pumping Station.The monitor for Unmanned automatic water supply system were realized through Lines of Communication(LOC) which is build-up by MODEM and Public Switched Telephone Network(PSTN).In the end of this paper, the universality of this system and research significance were discussed.
