| Flat-hammer mill is one of the core equipments in feed processing industry. For its simpleness in structure, highness in productivity, and sureness in operation, flat-hammer mill is widely used in forage production. However, during running it many problems such as vibration, noise and block also arise, which are mainly resulted from its own characteristics, running environment and precision of assemblage. To avoid these deficiencies and improve its performance, it is effective to improve the design and optimize the structure of the mill.As a new technology of product design, Virtual Prototyping(VP) is a revolutionary method to traditional research. By simulation tests, engineer can not only discover the potential problems of design and modify it in time, but also decrease the dependence on physical model.Considering the existent problems and practical manufacture requirements, the dynamic characteristics of flat-hammer mill's rotor is innovatively studied based on the virtual prototype simulation. The result can be used as the reference to optimizing the mill's structure and diagnosing the faults. The following parts are studied in this paper. The basic system info of VP technology is introduced first, and the inland and oversea research actuality and development trend in this aspect is reviewed. It is pointed out that the application of VP to designing the flat-hammer mill should be listed on the agenda. The integrative parameter method and transfer matrix method are used to develop the discrete model of flat-hammer mill's rotor in the light of its characteristics. The critical speeds and modes of rotor with symmetry hammers are theoretically deduced. The sub-critical working condition of it is judged. The virtual prototype of flat-hammer mill's rotor is set up by using advisable simplicity and initialization in the platform which consists of MDT, a three-dimension modeling software, vN4D, a software of kinematic and dynamic analysis, and MATLAB, a software of signal disposal.By simulating the performance of flat-hammer mill's rotor with various types of hammers' array and abrasion which are based on the established virtual prototype, the apparent influence of hammers upon the rotor's performance is suggested. |
