Ecological Thought & Analysis Of Contemporary Architecture Form In The West

"Eco-architecture" is the essential ingredient of the contemporary architecture. The emergence and development of the ecological thought have enriched, perfected, updated, and extended the main meanings of traditional architecture, as well as influence on the development and evolution of contemporary architecture form.Focused on the relationship between ecological thought and contemporary architecture form, this thesis relate to the junction of the two subjects. Through analysis of four aspects, such as the selection of architecture volume, the relationship between architecture and environment, the form of inner architecture space, and the character of architecture noumenon, this paper discusses the design approach of eco-architecture, and brings forth 24 items of forms and approaches of eco-architecture.Studying the trend of contemporary architecture, this thesis is s useful research for both eco-architecture and architecture form. On the basis of abundant excellent eco-architectures after 1980's, expect a few in developing country, mainly in the developed west. These examples combine together to form the research web of contemporary ecological architecture in the west.
