In the traditional graphics-design, based on the process-oriented design method the graphic editor module is been programmed singly in allusion to each component, It has a poor performance in expansibility and maintainability. At the same time the network's topology module fails to utilize the graphical data adequately so it is necessary to prepare the topology data separately. As the development of graphic user interface, a great deal of graphical systems have been used in the internet applications of the electric power system and meet the especial demand effectively. However, on account of the different demand of every internet application, the graphical system often need to be renewed. Accordingly, it is necessary to construct a graphics support platform which is used to meet the different demands. There are various kinds of internet applications in electric power system. All of them are complicated in data-configuration and module. Meanwhile the multiplex menu displaying and the real time processing are required. All the factors make the workload of GUI's development heavier, Even the workload of GUI's development excess the kernel arithmetic workload sometimes. It is a very important task to contrive the special graphics support platform which is fit for the advanced software of electric power and to realize the graphical system's share. With the incessant enlargement of the scale of power systems and increasing of the non-attended substation, the workload of operator on duty in central control substation is more and more heavy. When the fault occurs in the electric power net, they need to make out accurate judge fleetly and present corresponding measure so as to renew the system's normal run in time. So they are demanded to be provided with enough academic knowledge and abundant experience in practice. However, as the modernization of the running-level in electric power net, the chance which the operator on duty deal with the large accident is slim, it is quite difficult for them to accumulate abundant experiences in practice, therefore, in case accident happening they may judge and dispose the accident in error, which make the accident enlarge. In order to assist them heighten the speed and veracity of their judgement and disposal of accident, to accumulate the practical experiences, it is an effective means to develop the simulation and training system. According to the need of practical project,the research includes following contents.A power network modeling was introduced based on the object-oriented principle and the visualization technique. It is fitted to the intelligence interface and numerical value calculation. Through topology form and topology analysis as well as the graphical knowledge and the general network system equipment state analysis the graphic knowledge can be translated into inferable knowledge. The general network module can avoid the communication difficulty among different modules by severing several analysis programs with one system database. It also overcomes the shortcoming of previous loose relationship between graphics and database.Applying the Object-Oriented programming, the 110KV electric power network's fault simulation and training system has been developed, in which the network's topological graph is integrated with the background database. The system is composed with a graphical interface module, a management of parameter fixed value module, a visual circuit short calculation module and a city power net's simulation and training expert system module, etc. All functions can be achieved by operating the graphical interface, we can set a fault point and fault type in the graphical interface, then simulate the switch's state and the action of the automechanism as well as the relay protection after fault occurring in terms of the relay collocation and the fixed value in database.
